Remembering on New Year’s Eve

It was the Red Bank-Lebanon (Tennessee)-Prichard connection, occurring monthly, sometimes less, sometimes more, gathering. This particular photo was Easter 1952 from my Aunt Bettye Kate Hall’s album. Johnnie Orr, on the right, has left us. Three of the others, Martha Duff, Nancy Orr, and Joe Jewell were sane then and remain so. Then there was this goofy kid, so obvious here, who has remained goofy, perhaps even adding some goofiness over the years.

Today is a time to remember, Auld Lang Syne and all that. It was a wonderful time and a wonderful place for us to grow up. i wish everyone had the opportunity to have what we had then…except there probably could be a little less goofiness from one of us.
